Telstra Climate Change Report Underscores Role for EcoVision Technology in Increasing Renewables Uptake

In a report released by Telstra entitled Towards a High-Bandwidth, Low-Carbon Future: Telecommunications based Opportunities to Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions, climate change experts Climate Risk have cited how EcoVision technology could play a role in helping increase the uptake of renewable energy in electicity networks.
Citing the barriers of load uncertainty and intermittency of renewables such as wind and solar, the report identifies a key opportunity to improve the supply - demand side match through in home discretionary load shedding technology such as EcoVision which can facilitate cooperative resource management over high speed broadband.
