Ecovillage at Currumbin Wins Top UDIA Award

The Ecovillage at Currumbin, a 144 lot development on the Gold Coast which has mandated EcoVision systems for all residences and commercial buildings has recently won the Urban Development Institute of Australia's National Award for Environmental Excellence.
The UDIA award, which was announced in Perth on 15th March 07, will be added to an impressive and growing list of awards The Ecovillage at Currumbin has won. In a deal worth in excess of $0.5m, the resource monitoring systems being installed by EcoVision Solutions will log renewable energy generation, electricity consumption (broken down by lighting , water pumping and general power) and potable and recycled water consumption. The data will be captured using the Ecovillage fibre optic network and provide an invaluable opportunity to benchmark world's best practice in residential sustainability. www.theecovillage.com.au
