EcoVision™ complements the resource savings that are achievable through passive solar building design and the adoption of efficient energy and water using devices by providing real time feedback as well as trends in resource consumption. By providing a rich data stream displayed visually on our touchscreens home occupants get immediate positive feedback for turning off lights or replacing inefficient appliances. At the same time, the automatic functions of EcoVision™ can minimise wastage by managing resource availability to suit the end users specific needs.
By showing patterns and trends in resource consumption, EcoVision™ increases awareness and encourages and supports the end user to take responsibility and respond to the impact of lifestyle choices on a day to day basis. It also enables an appreciation of seasonal impacts and year to year variations that may result from changes in living circumstances such as replacement of appliances or fluctuations in occupancy levels.

EcoVision Solutions is partnering with a limited number of "Ultra Green" developers to showcase world leading sustainable urban communties. By mandating EcoVision™ into all homes within their developments and aggregating the data via a central server, these early adopter developers will be able to showcase their initiatives and break new ground benchmarking ESD performance via real data such as greenhouse gas emissions, water consumption, net renewable energy production etc.
For communities with their own services infrastructure such as water treatment plants, centralised potable water storage and renewable energy systems, EcoVision™ adds value through its monitoring and control capability. This not only means that billing data is captured remotely, but operation of centralised services plant can also be optimised in conjunction with cooperative demand side control - for example via direct load shedding or messaging advising residents of upcoming supply constraints delivered directly to the EcoVision™ in house screen.
EcoVision™ provides architects, planners, councils, environmental engineers, education institutions and other relevant interest groups a means of measuring and continuously improving environmental performance. Using the EcoVision™ output, these groups can verify their design and planning decisions and focus on factors that inhibit the realisation of various resource consumption objectives.

EcoVision Solutions helps to empower and inform sustainable living choices through high quality data feeds to community members. The in home EcoVision™ touchscreen provides an ideal format for display of local bulletins and registration for community events such as special interest group meetings, participation in car pools, babysitter bookings and relevant local information such as bus timetables and so on. In addition there is the opportunity for select green news and green living tips to be directed into the home. All of these (and others) are services that can be customised according to the particular need.
