EcoVision™ Solutions was founded in 2005 by Gold Coast engineers Rick Maddox and Steve Miller. In 2006 the company was awarded a contract with Landmatters, the developers of The Ecovillage at Currumbin to provide real time energy and water monitoring equipment in each of the 144 homes being built there over the next 3 - 4 years.

We develop long term relationships with our clients and strive to deliver products that are relevant today, but also flexible enough to be able to be modified to cater for various interfacing systems and evolving market needs.
People
Rick and Steve share a common vision of using innovative technical solutions to achieve environmental and economic benefits through improvements in resource efficiency and by providing unique opportunities to reduce overall consumption.
Rick comes from a consulting engineering background and has more than 20 years experience in the power generation sector. Initially working in the oil industry and large fossil fuel based plants, Rick has become increasingly involved in the sustainable energy sector and has been particularly active in the wind industry. He has worked extensively with federal, state and local governments and was instrumental in developing Best Practice Guidelines for wind power projects in Australia. More recently Rick has been providing technical advice on energy matters relating to ecologically sustainable urban developments. He was a founding Director of the Australian Wind Energy Association, is a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland and a member of both the Institute of Engineers Australia and the International Solar Energy Society.
Steve's background is in the field of Electrical and Automation Systems with over 25 years experience in design, installation and optimisation of automation systems for a wide range of industries. Steve's passion regarding resource optimisation, efficiency and the restoration of 'Natural Capital' led to the application of his automation knowledge in the area of natural resources
