With water resources already under pressure and demand for energy in Australia projected to increase by 50 per cent by 2020, EcoVision™ provides integrated resource management solutions to reduce costs to the consumer and the environment.

Realtime Feedback
EcoVision™ feedback empowers and encourages end users to set their own targets and then adjust their consumption habits according to their lifestyle choices. Benefits of any initiatives (for example changing of light fittings or appliances) can be verified instantaneously on the touchscreen.
Community Resource Management
Individual EcoVision™ systems can be interlinked through fibre optic networks to capture detailed consumption data for whole communities.
Demand Side Management : Smart Grid Applications for Utilities
Through our innovative and highly flexibile architecture EcoVision™ can contribute to smart grid initiatives which aim to increase supply / demand side cooperation. Our database is exeptionally powerful and able to handle very large volumes of data rapidly and reliably. Our demand side management capability is currently being trialed in the South Australia Government's Lochiel Park project where residents can subscribe to keep their peak electricity consumption below one of three self-selectable limits in return for rebates off their household electricity bills. Once they have subscribed, EcoVision tracks peak demand trends and sheds non essential loads (such as pool pumps, air conditioners, dish washers and washing machines) in a priority determined by the householder in order to keep consumption below the selected limit. The system does not effect essential loads such as lighting, general power and so on.
Education
EcoVision™ educates end users on their actual energy and water consumption. Where photovoltaics are installed, detailed real time feedback on the relative contribution of these and net energy position (ie import/export from grid) can be seen. This is a critical element in education and fostering behavioural change and EcoVision is very well positioned for providing high value monitoring systems to this end. In addition to monitoring of electrical generation and loads , EcoVision can also offer the unique value add option of water (and gas) consumption monitoring and a weather station data aggregation facility all through the one platform.
